Relational Enquiry

According to the Buddha, the Dharma is apparent “here and now”, and yet we can often find ourselves in some degree of resistance to what is here.

Enquiry is a meditative practice which supports us in coming close to our experience, especially when that experience is difficult. The relational aspect provides a supportive presence and container that holds and steadies as we explore the beliefs, views, strategies and historical patterns that limit our freedom.

Relational enquiry enables us to see and understand the nature of experience and its characteristics; the movement of experience, the impermanence of experience, and the way we use particular aspects of it in order to construct a fixed and continuous sense of self. This process invites us to make the shift from content to process, from being caught by experience to abiding with its continuous movement.
